At Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church, we seek to blend the best of the past with an openness to new ways of thinking, worshiping, and serving. Our building is old, historic and looks very traditional, but the congregation within is none of those things...

While we value the history and beauty of our sacred space and feel called to help preserve it for future generations, we are not the building. We aspire to be in service to those who are most vulnerable in downtown Little Rock. This church has a long history of serving food to hungry people, and our ways of serving continue to expand. Our location is well-situated to serve, and we seek to be a place where those with means reach out to those in need.

We believe that having a church family is essential to the Christian spiritual journey. There are small groups for study and fellowship and service to others. There are musicians, writers, visual artists and singers, sculptors and seamstresses. The QuaPAW Heeling Angels is our therapy dog team.  People come to Quapaw Quarter because they want to be with those who will challenge them, support them and love them unconditionally. We wish to be a supportive community to all the families and individuals who choose to become connected.

In October 2010, we became first Reconciling United Methodist congregation in Arkansas, and take very seriously the concept of being open and welcoming to all people, and yes, all means ALL!

"Drawn together by the loving grace of God, we of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church believe that there are no inherent barriers to living in relationship with Christ.  We welcome into our faith community people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, physical and mental abilities, economic means and family structures.   --- QQUMC Welcoming Statement, October 2010

We trust that through Christ we can be a place where people can discover community, meaning, and hope. Christianity was born in hard times, and we wish to be on the cutting edge of understanding what it means to be fully engaged in this world with full faith in the love and teaching of Jesus Christ.
